What a fun afternoon of Acting the Song! 🎭🎶

Our students had the opportunity to put into practice some of the tools we use to find authenticity in performance—including body work, character analysis, and exploring the connection between the two. It was wonderful to see them take risks, make discoveries, and bring their songs to life in new ways!

A big thank-you to our instructors, Amanda Munton, Director of Seacoast Academy of Music, and Robin Marcotte of , for leading such a creative and engaging afternoon.

We hope to offer more workshops like this in the future. Thanks to everyone who joined us for the fun! ❤️

Welcome to the SAM Faculty, Madelyn Morrell!

We are thrilled to welcome Madelyn Morrell to the Seacoast Academy of Music faculty, where she will be teaching Suzuki Violin.

A talented violinist, Irish traditional fiddle player, teacher, and researcher from southern Maine, Madelyn brings a wealth of performance and teaching experience to SAM. She is Suzuki-trained and passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where every student can learn and grow.

Madelyn holds a B.M. in Performance from Gordon College and an M.A. in Irish Music Studies from the University of Limerick. She is also an accomplished Irish fiddler, having competed internationally as a finalist in several prestigious traditional music competitions.

We are so excited to have Madelyn joining our faculty and can’t wait for our students to learn with her! Welcome to SAM, Madelyn!

WELCOME, LUCAS KAMON!

We’re excited to welcome Lucas Kamon to the Seacoast Academy of Music faculty!

Lucas is currently accepting new students for Saturday piano lessons this fall.

Lucas graduated from UNH in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, where he won the annual UNH Concerto Competition during his senior year.

With four years of private teaching experience, Lucas enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. As a performer, he has given more than 150 performances throughout New England for audiences at retirement homes, churches, libraries, private house concerts, and more.

When he’s not teaching or performing, Lucas enjoys playing soccer and basketball with friends and family, as well as hiking and skiing.

We’re so excited to have Lucas joining the SAM faculty!
