EC Class of 1981 had our 40th reunion on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Abma's Farm. 21 classmates got together and had a great time.
BIBLICAL QUESTIONS: Finally answered in the book below:
Matthew 27:46 When Jesus was on the cross why did he cry out God, God, why have you forsaken me? 😰 Did he feel that God had forsaken him by letting him die instead of saving him like God did Daniel in the lion's den?
Matthew 24:5 Many shall come in my name and they shall deceive you, who or what religion was he talking about?
Mark 16:15-18 Why did Jesus say... Pick up the Serpent and drink all deadly things?
Mark 10:18 Why did Jesus say... Do not call me good master for none is good but God? Yet, later said I am the way and the light?
Matthew 4:8 What happened to Jesus when he went up on the mountain with Satan?
Mark 20:14 Why did Jesus’s mother Mary not noticed Jesus when she saw him or did she know that he was not Jesus?
Luke 24:14-19 Why did the Disciples not recognize Jesus as they spoke to the stranger?
Matthew 6:24 Why before going up on the mountain with Satan when the people tried to praise and follow him, he said no man can serve two masters for if you love one, you must hate the other?
Matthew 17:23 Jesus said that he would return in 3 days, he died on Friday, yet on Sunday when his mother went to anoint him, he was gone?
These and many more answers to your questions like why are some innocent babies born deformed mentally or physically? Why is there Covid, Cancer, Floods, and natural disasters? Not only are the Ten Commandments explain fully, but even explain homosexuality, and much more. This is the book that all God’s people have been waiting for… “I LOVE GOD”.

Please help if you can. Jean was part of our Bible study and also Ringwood Christian School as well as East Chrisitan High School.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Castagna on Friday, June 25th while at home with his family by his side. Joe was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who was kind and loving to all!
He had a passion for life and always carried a joyful spirit to all those he crossed paths with. Joe was a long time member of the Pinecliff Lake Community as well as an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 28 years.
Joe will be deeply missed by his wife Jean, daughter Carina, sister Melody, PLCC community, Fellow members of Flotilla 10-13 members and everyone who was blessed enough to know him. His passing leaves a big hole in all our hearts.
Although Joe led a life rich in relationships the family lived on a tight financial budget. With his passing Jean and Carina are not only faced with medical expenses and funeral costs, but will also be facing the harsh reality of living expenses without Joe’s paycheck.
Several people have reached out to ask how they can help Jean and Carina so we decided to post this page to help facilitate the process.
We sincerely appreciate your kindness and generosity during this time of need and pray for God's Blessings in your life.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions Joan CraigP

Congratulations to Cyndi Park and Eastern Christian School for participating in the AIME competition this year, and we hope to see you join us during the 2021-2022 AMC cycle this Fall!
Look at this awesome post we found on our Instagram feed! Thank you so much Eastern Christian School for your food donations to our food pantry!
It is with a deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of Ms. Barbara Wymore, former Eastern Christian Schools Music Director and English Teacher.

My incredible mother Barbara left this earth Thursday morning, January 14, 2021 at 9:30 am. at the Good Samaritan Society of Minnesota. She left peacefully, gracefully, and as I would have expected, on her own terms.

Many friends and former students have reached out and asked how they may assist during this difficult time. We would welcome anyone who wishes to contribute to her Memorial Fund to assist with funeral costs and other final expenses. As a traditional funeral or memorial service are not practical at this time, we would appreciate Memorial Fund donations in lieu of flowers or other traditional gifts.

A large number of people have also asked about an address for sympathy cards. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card through regular mail, we welcome your personal messages. You may use the following postal address:

Barry Wymore & Family of Barbara Wymore
204 Grove Ave SE
Watertown, Minnesota 55388 USA

A live-streamed online Memorial Service is being planned for the near future. All family, friends and former students all around the world will be welcome to attend. Details will be shared on Facebook as soon as they become available.

Thank you so much. Our entire family greatly appreciates the outpouring of kind and heartwarming messages of comfort and love we have received from all over the world, and we ask for your continued prayers.
🙏 Barry Wymore on behalf of the entire Wymore Family 🙏

This week, many of our elementary school teachers participated in Switch and Read. 📚 In this program, created by our Special Projects Team, teachers traded classrooms and chose a read-aloud to share with students. This was such a great opportunity for our community to get to know each other even better and it totally energized and excited our kids! 📕

We have a HUGE announcement over here at the elementary school! Our wonderful PTO has raised the funds for a brand new nature playground! Students had the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for the new set-up this month and we have taken as many of their thoughts as possible into account during the planning process. We’ve met with the building crew and can’t wait to enjoy this innovative new space in the 2022-2023 school year.

Happy ! 🙌🏼 This week at the elementary school, we welcome back the beloved Praise Moms for chapel. Students loved their high energy time of praise. Then, Pastor YoungJae Lee shared a message based on John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” What a great morning of worship!

We can’t wait to spend time with our students again this week! Right before break, Mrs. Veenstra went all in for an Easter-themed class: students were very eggcited for Phys Ed. They opened eggs to reveal their eggsercize. They strived for eggsellence with each activity before eggshaling and eggsiting the gym. 🤪🐣

Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Last week, elementary school students used their coding skills to program Sphero robots to roll, delay, change colors, and make sounds. STEAM teacher Kelsi Bailey and tech integrator Meredith Kohlbrenner teamed up to teach the students how to program Sphero's heading angle, speed, and duration. Students combined computer science and math concepts to get the highest score possible on the Sphero dart board and navigate through a maze. Go STEAM TEAM!

Last week, we took some time to learn about Ukraine and what is happening there currently.

Students had a visit from our principal, Mrs. Bottge and our third grade paraprofessional, Lydia Gorter who has previously worked as a missionary in Ukraine. Students learned what every day life in Ukraine is like, what their flag symbolizes (blue for the sky and yellow for fields of wheat), and an age-appropriate lesson on what is happening now.

Students were invited to pray for Ukrainian people and other countries who can help, as well as the leaders involved in the conflict.

Each child received a bracelet in the colors of the Ukrainian flag with a reminder to PRAY for Ukraine. Inside the bracelet are the words “God is in control.”

We are currently supporting the relief work of Convoy of Hope and Mission to the World in Ukraine. If you would like to contribute with a cash donation, you may send it with your child when we return from Spring Break. 🇺🇦

Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy, advised by HS teacher Dawn Heerema, met yesterday to finalize plans for a major fundraiser event. The event, Day at the Rock, will occur May 22 at 1 p.m. at Rockpoint Community Church.

Chick-fil-A challenged the students to fundraise for a non-profit, and the group chose Hope Christian Services, formerly known as Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat. The event will include a fair for residents of Hope Christian Services as well as community children, followed by a concert.

Ramsey Chick-fil-A, and EC parents and franchise owners the Cohen family, have generously sponsored the leadership academy this year. In addition, EC was awarded a $750 grant from Chick-fil-A headquarters to orchestrate the upcoming event.

This we are so excited to celebrate our second graders!

The entire grade level worked so hard to bring the elementary school their Easter chapel. With beautiful choral songs and a presentation filled with scripture and the message of Easter, the program was truly a blessing to our community.

Photos from Eastern Christian School's post 04/05/2022

Today was our weekly Upper Elementary & Middle School chapel. It featured student led praise, a message from pastor Ryan Baitzel reminding us of Christ’s substitution for us and the reason we celebrate Easter. Our 4th grade students shared a final song with the school using their recorders. It was great to gather as an entire campus community to worship our Savior!

We believe that science should be hands-on, so our curriculum includes tons of experiments. 🧑🏼‍🔬👩🏾‍🔬Last week, third graders did an experiment modeling pollination between flowers! They learned about the important role bees play in the pollination of plants.

Our second zoo-themed post of the day comes from our second grade field trip today!

The second graders had the chance to visit the Turtle Back Zoo and wow, did they have a great day! From sting rays to giraffes to lions, it was a field trip to remember. They were especially excited to spot an [EC] eagle! 🦅 And our bus drivers even got a train ride. 😉

Today, we are excited to show you some zoo-themed posts from the elementary school!

During the month of March, our Pre-K 3 class has been learning about the zoo. Since young children learn best through play, our preschool teachers strategically imbed student learning objectives into students' play. If you can see past their adorable faces, you'll see children growing fine motor muscles, building social skills, and developing math and literacy competencies.

WOW!!! Thank you to everyone who supported our elementary school’s efforts to raise funds for @stjude through our annual Math-A-Thon. Through the efforts of our students and their supporters, we were able to raise $10,597! Way to support our core value of SERVING OTHERS. 💛💙
