Starting the School Year off with a Splash!

On Thursday, we held our Pool and Pizza Party. Seniors kicked off the party jumping into the pool with their uniforms on. Teachers passed out pizza and all grade levels were welcome to celebrate!

Welcome to High School Class of 2030!!

Yesterday, our 9th grade class joined us for their Orientation. They received their IDs, schedules, and lockers. Students were also guided to their first class that they’ll be at on Monday.

Welcome back teachers! 🍎✏️

These past two days we’ve held our Teacher Orientation. We welcomed new staff and everyone back, went over our mission and theme for the year, discussed our calendar and made sure everyone was acclimated!

Postcards from Italy and Spain! 💌🇪🇸🇮🇹

Here at the Academy, students don’t just learn a language in a classroom but experience the culture, cuisine, and climate of the countries where those languages are spoken. This summer, students had the opportunity to travel with EF Tours to Rome, Florence, Madrid, and Barcelona to utilize their Italian and Spanish skills. They took in breathtaking views, tasted local foods, and formed new friendships while surviving the summer heat! A Mary Help trip wouldn’t be complete without a Salesian family connection so our tour included a stop at Sacra Cuore in Rome, built with the help of St. John Bosco.

Happy Retirement Mrs. Reenstra!!

For the past 29 years, Mrs. Reenstra has been a dedicated administrator to MHC Academy. Thank you Mrs. Marie Reenstra for all of your hard work in keeping the Academy running smoothly.

As a faculty, we celebrated her retirement at our end of year lunch. Our sunshine committee presented Mrs. Reenstra with a gift thanking her for all of her hard work over the years.

We will miss you here at the Academy but we are excited for you to enjoy the next chapter!!
