HAPPY JUNE! ☀️ Registration is open for our manufacture your future JR day camp in partnership with QVCC Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Program and The Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board Youth Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative! ⚙️🔬🤖 This is a FREE full day camp on Wednesday, June 28th with lunch provided! 🍎

Registration is limited and open at www.NOWinMotion.org/events ! Students will engage in hands on learning related to manufacturing, machines, mechatronics, and more!

Check out EASTCONN’s Manufacturing Mobile Lab! Set up at Plainfield Central School this week. The lab allows learners to engage in processes, products, & concepts in manufacturing from right here in Eastern CT!

By participating in hands on, virtual, and video connections, students learn about the integration of our local manufacturing community and the opportunity for meaningful & creative work!

General Dynamics Electric Boat’s Workforce Development and Planning organizations partnered to host the 11th Planning Pipeline Program, preparing planners to join EB’s Planning organization.

Workforce Development, along with Three Rivers Community College, hosted the graduation of Planning Pipeline Cohort 11 on April 6 at Grasso Tech in Groton. The recent graduates, now members of our Planning organization, presented their final capstone project for an audience of Electric Boat employees from various areas within Planning.

Photographed are the 20 students who graduated from the program. Congrats to these graduates, who began their EB careers on April 11, 2023!

We love to see this level of innovation from high schools right here in Eastern CT! What an amazing story from The Woodstock Academy’s robotics & engineering students. Bravo to the students who helped design and build the “Goat Cart” for Nemo to walk!

Special shout out to teacher, Peter Sumner who led this group and also teaches the Youth Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative course at Woodstock Academy. Great leadership!
