🦖🦕 It was a DINO-MITE week in Kinder Prep! 🦕🦖

This week, our Kinder Prep students in both the 3-Day and 2-Day Tracks had a ROAR-some time learning all about the letter D! 🔤✨

Our little learners got to hatch their very own dinosaur eggs made from baking soda! 🥚🦖 Using vinegar, they watched their eggs fizz, bubble, and disappear, revealing the dinosaurs hiding inside! 🫧🦕

What a fun and hands-on way to learn the letter D! We love watching our Kinder Prep students learn, explore, and have a dino-mite time doing it! 💛💙

HOUSE COLORS DAY! 💛 💙 💜

Our Upper School kicked off their first House Colors Day of the school year!

Students proudly represented their house by showing off their colors and bringing plenty of energy, teamwork, communication, and school spirit to the day! From team-building challenges to exciting games, our students had the opportunity to work together, encourage one another, and compete as a team. 🙌

🫖 What a delightful way to celebrate! 🫖

This week, our 1st graders celebrated finishing their first literature book of the school year, Mr. Putter & Tabby Pour the Tea, with a tea party of their very own! 📚

After enjoying the story together, our students got to bring the book to life with tea, treats, and plenty of fun! What a sweet way to celebrate a wonderful first book!

We love seeing our students discover the joy of reading and making special memories along the way! 📖✨

UPPER SCHOOL ELECTIVE DAY! 👩‍🍳

This past week was a delicious one in our Culinary elective! Our Upper School students rolled up their sleeves and tried their hand at making their very own sushi.

From learning new techniques to getting creative with their ingredients, our students are gaining practical skills while enjoying the opportunity to learn something a little outside the box!

We love seeing our students discover new interests, build confidence, and enjoy learning together. ❤️

🍎 Johnny Appleseed Day in Lower School!

This week, our Lower School students celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day with a fun-filled day of learning, exploring, and, of course, apples! 🍎

Students rotated through a variety of hands-on centers and stations, giving them the opportunity to learn in different ways. They watched engaging videos about Johnny Appleseed and his story, discovered interesting facts about apples, and enjoyed an apple-tasting activity where they could sample different varieties.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect learning with hands-on experiences while enjoying time together with their classmates. We loved seeing their curiosity, excitement, and enthusiasm throughout the day!

Two tracks means double the celebrations! 💍🎉

Our 2-Day Track Kindergarteners had a joyful day celebrating the Q + U wedding! 💒❤️
Dressed as quarterbacks and queens, our students brought this special letter team to life while celebrating the joy of learning together.

We love creating meaningful, hands-on moments where our students can learn, laugh, celebrate, and grow in a Christ-centered environment.

What a sweet celebration of our little learners and the wonderful community God has blessed us with! 🏈👑✨

💍💒 Q + U Got Married! 💒💍

Our Kindergarten class celebrated a very special wedding this week—the wedding of Q and U! 💕🔤

Why? Because Q and U are almost always together in words! They make a great team. 😊

Our little learners had so much fun celebrating with wedding-themed activities while learning an important phonics rule: when we see Q, U is usually right there beside it! 📚✨

From queen 👑 to quilt 🧵 to quack 🦆, these two letters are quite the pair!

We love making learning memorable, joyful, and fun! 💙💍📖

🪨 History Comes to Life in the Lower School! 🪨

In CCA's Lower School, students are diving into history this semester and discovering some of the world’s most fascinating places—including Stonehenge, the unique man-made monument located in Wiltshire, England!

As our students learned about the history of this incredible ancient site, they got to bring their learning to life with a hands-on Stonehenge project of their very own!

And the best part? They got to eat their Stonehenge, too!

Watching our students learn, create, and have fun together is such a joy.

We are grateful for the opportunity to make learning memorable and to encourage our students to explore God’s world with curiosity, creativity, and wonder! ❤️🌎

📚 Our First D.E.A.R. Day! 📚

Today was our very first D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) Day, and what a special afternoon it was! Our Lower School students got to slow down and enjoy some time getting lost in a good book. 📖✨

One of the sweetest parts of the afternoon was watching some of our older students read to our younger students. What a beautiful picture of community, connection, and a love for reading! 🥰

D.E.A.R. Day is a special tradition that our students look forward to, and we loved seeing the excitement and joy that filled our classrooms today. We’re so thankful for opportunities to nurture a love of reading while creating special memories together!

Here’s to the first of many D.E.A.R. Days this school year! 📚❤️
