I wanted to take a moment and recognize two of our P.A.S.S.I.O.N. Academy students, Melisa and Melany Hernandez, for being selected to attend the extremely selective and prestigious JOHN HOPKINS UNIVERSITY EXPLORE ENGINEERING PROGRAM. They will attend the program this summer and upon completion, they will have earned John Hopkins undergraduate credits!

Well done! We are so very proud of you and look forward to seeing you achieve your goals!

This past Friday, our Emerging Leadership Club learned how leaders make mistakes, accept responsibility and own their mistakes and never make excuses. During the course of the day two of those students found themselves in situations that required them to own their actions and they rose to the occasion! The Holy Spirit is upon Good Shepherd and we are in awe of how many lives are being changed. At the end of our meeting Mr. Beil taught our club how to play "Simon Says" to illustrate the importance of attention to detail in a fun competitive way.

This past Friday our Emerging Leadership Club met to learn about the continued effort we must develop to grow as better student leaders. After our opening prayer, we read our daily devotional and the Samson Bible story contributed to the conversation of what "NOT" to do as a leader. We discussed how being impulsive, not level headed and not focusing on God are just some of the reasons Samson was not a great leader. This allowed the students to chime in with their opinions to strengthen the conversation. We finished the meeting with a good game of Dodge ball as a team building exercise.

The Holy Spirit is working wonders in all our students! Please pray for their continued growth and development as young Christians and Student leaders!
