Chris ( a former OAXC cross country runner) who just graduated from OA found out today that his Marine boot camp ship date was moved up a full 6 months, he is leaving on Monday, yes this Monday. His family wants to throw him the “mother” of all parades to show how many people are supporting him. Parade is Friday, 2:45pm OA parking lot closest to the football field. Leaves at 3pm to their house on Black Brook Road. Loud music and honking encouraged 😊

What a tremendous day for OAXC at the All State Meet!!

The OA Girls take 4th place. The OA pack was led by Katie Sobieraj placing top ten. The trifecta of Hannah Dupill, Taegan Hodges, and Braelyn Graham ran a viscious middle lap, setting up all 3 to crack the top 40 to put OA along the top scoring teams. Freshman standout Ashley Powers ran an incredibly tough race, kicking her way into 57th. Hailey Goldman and Annie Reilly were viscious in the displacer spots, beating top 5 runners from many rival schools.

OA boys move all the way up to sixth. The three-headed monster was at the top of their game. Ryan Sarney leads OA with 4th place overall. Brendan Thomas takes 5th. Aidan Dupill captures 7th. Alex Callanan goes on a tear posting a 17:16. Landon Sarney kicks the last 1000 and rounds out the team score at 219. Brody Lake sub-18 and Oscar Feodoroff 18-mid running strong in the displacer spots!

The sun sets on an unbelievable OAXC season. Sitting here on the final bus ride home (listening to Taylor Swift team karaoke again) I am reminded of the moments on the journey that got us here. Every moment of elation and triumph. Every minute of setback and adversity. Every gesture of comraderie and support that has bound us together. Tradition never graduates. Legacy lives on. We are so proud of every OAXC athlete who put on the singlet, toed the line, and carried the torch of

Integrity
Commitment
Hard Work
Sacrifice
and Perseverance

We are OAXC
