A concert pianist who has performed at Boston’s Symphony Hall and won the grand prize in a Russian music competition at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, Matthew Hutton ’26 knows a good piano when he sees one.
“Stonehill has great pianos,” he said. “It’s one of the reasons I wanted to come here.”

Finally, in the back of the studio we also have a Yamaha Pacifica electric guitar and an Ibanez Gio electric bass available for student use.

To the rear of the studio we have a Pearl Roadshow drumset setup with eight microphones: kick, 2 for snare (above and below), high hat, high tom, low tom, left overhead, and right overhead. There is also a headphone cable running to the drumset so the drummer can play to a click.

In the bottom drawer of the cabinet we have some miscellaneous percussion instruments / mallets, and a couple of guitar pedals, a multi-effects pedal, and a chorus pedal that is a clone of the chorus circuits including on Roland synthesizers from the early 1980s.
