Stonehill College Visual and Performing Arts Visual & Performing Arts majors may choose a General Concentration or one of six different concentrations.

Many of our students double major to optimize career options or to satisfy a variety of interests: Arts Administration, Art History, Studio Arts, Graphic Design, Music, and Theatre Arts.

We’re also adding the Behringer LMDrum, which is based in the LinnDrum and the LM-1 drum machines from the early and mid 1980s. These drum machines were considered the gold standard for sample based drum machines of the time.

The LMDrum is replacing the Behringer RD8 (a clone of the Roland TR-808). The Behringer RD8 will still be available for students to use on request.

New equipment! Here in the third rack we have (top to bottom) a clone of the Grampion 636 Spring Reverb unit from the 1970s, a clone of the Neve 33609 Compressor, two patch bays, and a brand new Midas Series 500 rack containing two Fredenstein Pre Amps. These pre amps will offer better fidelity for recording. The rack currently contains eight empty slots that can be filled over the following months and years with more pre amps, or EQs and compressors!
