We are now accepting applications for our newly updated Paramedic Program. The program now includes additional experiences and opportunities to enhance the student experience and additional ways to make it more affordable.

This week students in our Spring EMT cohort spent an evening participating in rescue operations drills as part of our curriculum. This provided all students with hands-on skill development and critical thinking processes that will enhance their care in the field.

We want to give a special thanks to the Singerly Fire Company and their team for leading the experiences and providing the Rescue truck to facilitate this interactive learning experience. We also want to give another special thanks to Elkton Recycling who hosted the training and provided the vehicles used for training. We appreciate the continued support from our local community in committing resources to enhance the learning opportunities for our students!

This evening students from our Spring EMT Course at the Elkton Station Campus took part in a joint training with Singerly Fire Company and Christiana Care LifeNet. This session provided students with a hands on look at aeromedical operations , patient loading and unloading. landing zone safety and other important operational considerations.

A special thanks to both organizations for their continued investment in our students success in learning and preparing for careers in our EMS system!

Beginning July 1, 2024, the National Registry of EMTs is changing the license examination process for Paramedic. The new process removes the two part exam process that included a computer-based adaptive exam and a 6 Station Psychomotor exam. and will be replacing it with. more dynamic adaptive comiuter-based exam. Here is a brief video about the types of questions on the new exam.

Happy National Emergency Medical Services Week!
Its great seeing Cecil College EMT Program graduates out working and doing great things. Destini completed our program in December of 2023 and is now working for Harford County DES and volunteering actively at Singerly Fire Company in Elkton.

Our students in the Emergency Medical Technicial program here at Cecil College enjoy coursework with meaningful lab experiences, field experiences and lectures with insight from experienced faculty. This past week our students enjoyed two sessions with hands on experiences with Singerly Fire Company as they learned helicopter safety operations, patient packaging and extrication operations. The volunteers and officers at Singerly made the learning experience memorable.

Its with the great support of stakeholders and partners including the Cecil County Department of Emergency Services and Singerly Fire Company that elevate the learning environment for our students to be successful.
