NAGA Kids Team Champions!

Congratulations to our 11 youth competitors on their phenomenal performances and teamwork yesterday at the North American Grappling Association tournament yesterday. They walked away with a ton of medals and we took the #1 spot as a team.

We’re extremely proud of their preparation before the event and sportsmanship during their matches. The mutual support everyone showed for our first time competitors was awesome, and much appreciated.

Thanks as always to our amazing coaches and all the parents as well! 🦍🏆🔥

Congratulations to Grayson Matton on receiving his well-deserved blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu last night after an extremely impressive Ironman! 🟦⬛️🟦🟦 

He graduated from our youth program to become a leader to the other kids as well as a valued training partner for the adults, not to mention an accomplished competitor. This is just the beginning.

Thanks as always to everyone in the SBG Tribe who came out to participate in the event. 🦍

It was especially cool to have both his dad and sister, who also train with us, in the lineup taking part. Great night!

We had another incredible seminar here yesterday with Henry Akins, focused on his “unpinnable” curriculum.

This is absolutely one of those IFYKYK game-changers that makes this approach to Jiu-Jitsu so unique. Instead of teaching techniques, Henry spent 2 hours revealing tiny details and adjustments based on everything someone will do to pin you from top side control, and had the group live testing all of them against resistance.

Not only did everyone, from white to black belts, significantly upskill over those 2 hours, they were able to get better results with a fraction of the effort!

It’s always fascinating how the natural skepticism some people have – “How different can it really be?” – evaporates once they actually feel it.

If you missed out, just make it a priority to be there next year!
