Sponsored by Big Day Brewing Company and presented by Mountain Sports Lab and Specialized bikes.

Whether it’s rock, ice, or singletrack, we love showing up for the Mount Washington Valley outdoor community.

For the past 4 years, we’ve fielded a team at the 24 Hours of Great Glen mountain bike race—an endurance race in the region like no other where solo riders and teams of two, four, and five vie for podium position by completing the most laps in the shortest amount of time.

IMCS co-owner Lisa McCoy has been part of the race since its comeback, now serving as race registrar and announcer. This year our team took to the course with office manager Matt Yosca, long-time guide Chris Magness, former IME staff Lauren Garlough, and friends Ryan Jean of Cathedral Ledge Contracting and Andy Hannon. Paul McCoy served on the volunteer timing and registration crews.

Thanks to Big Day Brewing Company, Mountain Sports Lab, and Specialized Bikes for keeping this race going strong at Great Glen Trails and to everyone who raced, volunteered, and cheered alongside us.

See you on the course in 2027!

Stoked to support the Mount Washington Observatory and participate in their annual Seek the Peak fundraiser!

This year’s fundraiser surpassed its goal of $260,000, raising an incredible $277,600 to support the Mount Washington Observatory.

For the first time in nearly 20 years, Mount Washington Observatory (MWOBS) awarded the Barbara and Bradford Washburn Award to former IMCS co-owner Rick Wilcox.

Rick, the current owner of International Mountain Equipment and former president of Mountain Rescue Service for 40 years, was recognized for his outstanding service to the Mount Washington Valley and the greater climbing community.

It was wonderful to see Rick honored in this capacity for his lifelong dedication to the climbing community.
