17 Kennett seniors traveled to Concord today for the NHIAA/NHADA Scholar Athlete awards ceremony, which concluded with Kennett’s William Odell being selected as one of this year’s Division II scholarship winners. Congratulations to all of our Eagles on your wonderful accomplishment!

Spring sports preseason practices have begun and we’re still in need of a JV girls lacrosse coach. Apply on the SAU 9 website and contact KHS AD Neal Weaver if you’re interested in helping out this season!

The Kennett winter sports awards are tonight at 5 pm in the Loynd auditorium. We hope to see you all there!

If you’re planning to play a spring sport, make sure to attend the preseason meetings tonight starting at 5:30 pm in the Loynd Auditorium with individual team meetings to follow … and while you’re at it, stop by Wicked Fresh between 12-7 pm to support Project Graduation!

Congratulations to Kennett’s Myra Johnston and Jake Stevens who represented NH at last weekend’s Eastern HS State Championships. Competing against approximately 250 athletes, representing 12 divisions, and including states from as far away as Wisconsin and Michigan, the NH boys team finished 1st and the girls placed 2nd. Way to go!!

Save the date … the Kennett athletics winter sports awards are Wednesday, March 18th at 5 pm in the Loynd auditorium. All athletes and their families are welcome to attend. We hope to see everyone there!

Congratulations to the Kennett Nordic ski teams who each placed 5th overall at the state meet yesterday. Evan Preece led the Eagles with a top ten finish in the freestyle race. Well done to all of our skiers and coaches!
