I am so excited to introduce to you our new 4th through 12th grade band director, Miss Madeline Selby!

“Hi everyone! I’m so excited to begin at North Collins this coming school year. I grew up in Binghamton (about 4 hours from North Collins) and moved to Fredonia for music school. I fell in love with Western NY and decided to move here permanently.

I bring energy, drive, passion, and positivity, and I can’t wait to continue growing the North Collins music program!

Along with music, I love nature, arts and crafts, strawberries, comedy, and taking care of my 2 cats, Auggie and Celeste, who are the topic of many conversations with students.

I look forward to making music with all of you soon!”

I have had the most wonderful piano class this year! One of them has had me as a teacher for 10 years, some students have me up to five times a day. I got this idea right here on Facebook and thought this would be fun to try. We had a great time seeing how well they knew their teacher! There was a lot of laughter! Mr. Daly was invited to play along too. This particular question was “What is something Mrs. Finkley says?” The answers did not disappoint.
