Keystone was delighted to host Lindsay Aucella of Puppet Pals for a recent enrichment program. Children’s House students were absolutely captivated by Lindsay’s funny, fast-paced, and highly interactive puppet performance, where larger-than-life characters sparked laughter and joyful participation. From silly surprises to animated storytelling, each moment invited our young minds into a world of creativity and play.

Beyond the fun, Lindsay’s storytelling beautifully weaves in social-emotional learning, modeling kindness, connection, and the power of shared joy—important elements of a child’s development that extend far beyond the performance itself.

From a delicious Waffle Wednesday breakfast (with all the toppings) to flowers galore and a beautiful comment board overflowing with compliments, gratitude, and well-deserved kudos, we enjoyed celebrating the incredible educators who make our community so special.

Our teachers bring humor, patience, creativity, and dedication to each day, and this week in May was just one small way to honor all they do for our children and families. We are so grateful for this amazing team! Thank you!

Our Elementary students were fully immersed in the outstanding activities and experiences at Outdoor Classroom in Ocean Park, Maine— what an unforgettable experience it was!

From beach exploration and sandcastle engineering along the rising tides, to discovering quartz rocks, observing bald eagles soaring overhead, and investigating forest habitats, each day was filled with hands-on discovery and reflection. Students examined squid, explored the life of salamanders and frogs, learned new outdoor games, carved wood, built rafts, hiked through the woods, and even paused to quietly listen as the forest settled in for the night.

There were campfire skits, songs, s’mores, laughter, teamwork, and countless moments of connection, with nature and with one another. These experiences nurture independence, observation, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the world around us in ways that simply cannot happen indoors.

This is Montessori in action: what a beautiful week of growth, friendship, and adventure!
