Thank you to TTC Foundation Trustee, Peter Lehman for his The Post and Courier letter to the editor!
I have the pleasure to serve on the Trident Technical College Foundation Board of Directors because it gives me a front row seat to witness Mary Thornley in action. I consider her one of the best educators and administrators in South Carolina.
During quarterly messages to the board, she shared news about the latest programs, updates, needs, faculty achievements and more in such a way as to take us on a journey. She includes employees to help shape and enhance the messages, giving them all a chance to shine.
Trident Tech would certainly not be the outstanding educational institution it is without Dr. Thornley’s superb leadership.
There is always a need for scholarship money for the neediest students at Trident Tech.
I can think of no better community investment than to help students better themselves through education, which is the great emancipator.
Thank you, Dr. Thornley, for your unprecedented leadership.
