Today, our little learners are strengthening those tiny hand and finger muscles that build the foundation for big milestones like writing, buttoning coats, and using scissors!
Through hands-on activities like squeezing playdough, threading beads, and using mini tongs to sort colorful objects, our children are developing key dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness.
Here are a few simple fine motor ideas you can try at home this week:
Pinch & Sort: Have your child use clothespins or tweezers to pick up cotton balls or pom-poms into a egg carton.
Playdough Stacking: Roll out dough and let them push pasta, beads, or small sticks straight into it.
Water Transfer: Give them two bowls and a sponge to squeeze water from one side to the other.
