Our 4th grade artists did an amazing job creating these Bisa Butler inspired mixed media portraits! 💯 They created collages inspired by Butler’s quilts, then traced their faces on transparency sheets focusing on the contour lines of their faces. Next, they added pops of color using acrylic paint markers! We adhered the two pieces together to create these EPIC portraits! 💣 So proud of our artists curiosity while learning about Bisa Butler’s portrayal of Black life, grit while working on all of the details, and creativity with their poses and color choices! 💚💚💚 #bisabutler #brentwoodbulldogs #mixedmedia #elementaryart #portraits

We celebrated our 100th day of learning and boy was it 😁 FUN 🤩 100 days smarter and it shows!!!

Due to the risk of icy roads and hazardous driving conditions, Friday 1/24 will be an eLearning day to keep our students and staff safe.

Teachers will hold virtual office hours to provide assistance as needed.

We plan to resume normal operations on Monday but will continue monitoring the situation and share updates as they become available. Stay safe and warm!
