We LOVE and CELEBRATE our teachers!

We hosted our first Cultural Exchange Day on Friday , February 20,2026. It was an amazing opportunity for our school community to learn more about the different cultures represented within our school community. Among the cultures represented were USA, Portugal, Ireland, Jamaica and Guyana. Thanks to our teachers who represented their respective heritage and created presentations as well as cultural and food samples. The students and entire school team truly had a blast.

Ja'laysia Blake is a recipient of the Math Nation+ ACT/SAT Challenge award! 🥇 We recognize her commitment and diligence in Math Nation+’s ACT/SAT Prep Courses, supported by the SCDE Innovation Grant and the SC Legislatures. This accomplishment represents another success story from Greg Mathis Charter High School. It was great having Dr. Tiffany Arnold stop by to personally drop off her winning prize. Following a review of the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service in Charleston, Greg Mathis Charter High School will operate on a normal schedule on Monday, January 26.

At this time, no impacts to school operations are expected. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our priority, and we will continue to monitor conditions closely.
