Sending out a reminder to all alumni, if you would like to participate in the final band concert surprise for Mr. Thomas. When you arrive at the auditorium you will receive the music for the Alma mater and a place to store your case. The concert starts at 7 pm on Thursday, May 11th.
Calling all Fort Band Alumni! Mr. Thomas is retiring this year and we are inviting all former Band members to join the current band on stage at the end of the Spring Concert on May 11th to play the Alma Mater and Happy Birthday ( the 11th happens to be his birthday as well)!
The concert starts at 7:00 pm in the FDHS Auditorium.
Mr. Thomas is not on social media, so please keep this quiet so it remains a surprise! Let's send him off with music and appreciation!

Fort Dorchester Band - Defiant Spirit - 2022 Wando - Lowcountry Invitational Marching Band Festival
On Saturday, September 24th, Fort Dorchester High School Band participated in the annual Lowcountry Marching Band Invitational (LCI) hosted by Wando High School. The students were judged by some of the best music and visual educators in North America! The spectators were entertained by music, pageantry and choreography. FDHS Band was awarded the following: Best Drum Major; Best Percussion; and 3rd place for their division. We are so proud of our Patriot Band Members!

The FDHS Band has worked tirelessly getting ready for the new year! They are among some of the most dedicated and hard working students at Fort! Let's also give a huge shout out to the Band Directors who lead and inspire them everyday to be their best!
The FDHS Marching Band had a great first week back! We would like to welcome our new members and wish the entire band the best of luck in their second week of practice! We are so proud of these young men and women for dedicating part of their summer to help provide school spirit and pride to our Patriots for the upcoming school year!

Where: Fort Dorchester HS
Why: For every 50 parents in attendance, the band will receive $250 toward the band, plus $5.00 per additional parent - this will count toward Students MFS Dues.

March 26th the Band will be having a Spaghetti Fundraiser Event, with performances by the Chamber Ensembles, Bake Sale and Silent Auction Table. We need
1. Items donated for the silent auction (restaurant gift cards, gift baskets, items from a small, personal business such as Avon, Thirty-one Bags, Pampered Chef, etc.
2. Monetary donation so the Booster Club can purchase items for the silent auction.
3. Baked Goods for the bake sale
All items donated for the silent auction will receive a tax receipt from the Band Boosters for a tax write off, and we will ADVERTISE your business at the event and on social media.
