Today, we celebrated an important milestone for the Class of 2030 at the Military Magnet Academy 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony! 🎓🦅

Family, friends, faculty, and fellow cadets gathered to honor our outstanding middle school scholars as they officially prepare to transition into high school. The ceremony highlighted academic achievement, leadership, character, and the bright future ahead for these young leaders.

Special congratulations to all award recipients, student speakers, and our promoted cadets for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year. Thank you to our administrators, faculty, staff, and families for the continued support and encouragement that helps our scholars succeed every day. A special thank you to MMA alumna, SPC Makayla Bradford, who was our featured speaker. It was great to have you back!

We are proud of all you have accomplished and excited to see what the future holds for the MMA Class of 2030! 💙💛

This week, the middle school scholars of Military Magnet Academy enjoyed a well-deserved picnic at Riverfront Park to celebrate their outstanding progress on the MAP tests in Reading and Math from Spring 2025 to Spring 2026, as well as reaching their academic goals!

A huge thank you to the North Charleston Recreation Department, our dedicated instructional coaches — Dr. Sara Ancrum, Ms. Latrea Heyward, and Dr. Dee Bell — for helping organize such a memorable event. We also appreciate our amazing cook, Mr. Antwan Smalls, Owner of My 3 Sons of Charleston Catering, who fired up the grill and served delicious burgers and hot dogs for our scholars!

It was the perfect way to close out the school year — celebrating hard work, growth, and success together. We are so proud of our Eagles and all they have accomplished this year! 🦅💙💛

Charleston County Public (CCPL) Library Summer Reading begins on June 1! Students can log reading in their CCSD Beanstack accounts and go to any CCPL branch to receive prizes throughout the summer! Let's GO MMA Readers!

🎶 Big news for our music program! 🎶

Last night at our New Cadet Meeting for the 2026–2027 school year, we celebrated a major milestone — 27 students officially signed up for band! 👏🎺🥁

These talented scholars will perform with the concert band throughout the school year and will take the field with the marching band during the spring semester. The growth, energy, and excitement surrounding our program continue to build, and we are proud of the momentum we are creating together.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our students and the music program. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning! 🎼🦅
