We had the pleasure of surprising Keisha on Friday with the help of the amazing team at CE Williams North and presenting her with our Manager of the Year 🏆Award!

Keisha is an exceptional leader, a highly regarded Training Manager, and someone who leads with compassion, consistency, and care. She has earned the respect of her colleagues and is truly beloved by her students and staff. ❤️

What makes Keisha especially deserving of this recognition is the heart she brings to her work every day. Her impact reaches far beyond the kitchen through the connections she builds with students, the support she gives her team, and the pride she takes in serving her school community.

🎉 Celebrating Our Operator of the Year ~ Sabrina Simmons! 🎉

Today, we are proud to recognize Sabrina Simmons of Zucker Middle School as our 2026–2027 Operator of the Year! 🏆

Ms. Sabrina has dedicated more than 27 years to serving the students of Charleston County Schools and has become an invaluable part of the Zucker Middle School family.

Selected for this honor through recommendations from both her peers and manager, Ms. Sabrina is known for her incredible teamwork, positive spirit, and the genuine connections she builds with students, coworkers, and school staff. She is truly loved by all who have the opportunity to work alongside her and be served by her! ❤️

Director Jermaine Shaw, Officer Suzanne Cottingham, and the Zucker Middle School team joined together to surprise Ms. Sabrina with her award certificate and flowers in celebration of this well-deserved honor.

After 27+ years, Ms. Sabrina continues to show what it means to serve with dedication, kindness, and heart every single day.

📢 Final Summer Bundle Registration!

This weekend is your last opportunity to register for CCSD Summer Bundle Meals!

🗓️ Registration is open Friday at 8:00 AM through Sunday at 8:00 PM.

Families who pick up their bundle this week will receive two weeks' worth of breakfasts, lunches, and fresh produce in one convenient pickup to help finish the summer strong.

Thank you to all of the families who participated in our Summer Bundle Meals Program. It has been our privilege to serve you throughout the summer, and we hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and successful start to the new school year!

What a way to wrap up ANC 2026 in Charlotte! It was an incredible weekend filled with learning, laughter, fellowship, and fresh ideas to help us better serve our students.

We heard from inspiring keynote speakers, connected with school nutrition professionals from across the country, and even had a special surprise visit from U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins!

We're heading home energized, inspired, and ready to put what we've learned into action. Here's to another great school year!

📢 Free & Reduced-Price Meal Applications Are Now Open!

Applying for Free & Reduced-Price Meals can provide your family with much more than nutritious meals, it can unlock valuable savings and additional benefits throughout the year.

Families who qualify may receive:
✅ Free or reduced-price school meals, helping save up to $769.25 annually!
✅ Waived school fees (where applicable)
✅ Reduced registration fees for the SAT and/or ACT
✅ Eligibility for discounted home internet services
✅ Discounted rates for participating summer camps

We encourage all families to complete an application, even if you're unsure whether you qualify. Applying is quick, confidential, and could provide significant savings and opportunities for your student.

What a fantastic morning with our community partners at the Lowcountry Food Bank!

Our Nutrition Services Central Office team had the opportunity to go behind the scenes, tour the facility, and see firsthand the incredible work happening every day to fight hunger across the Lowcountry. We never stop learning, growing, or looking for new ways to better serve our students and our community.

A special thank you to Lara for the warm welcome and informative tour. We look forward to volunteering alongside your team and growing this wonderful partnership in the years ahead.

Together, we're making a difference, one meal at a time.

🍉 It's a Watermelon Extravaganza! 🍉

Sweet, juicy, and locally grown, our Summer Camp students and both Summer Feeding programs are enjoying fresh watermelon from Certified South Carolina Williams Farms! This month alone, we served 981 watermelons across the district, bringing a refreshing taste of South Carolina summer to students.

We're proud to serve fresh, local produce that helps fuel fun, learning, and healthy smiles all summer long. ❤️🍉
