These nasturtiums are not only beautiful, but also edible!

At The Acorn School we are steadily growing our "seed-to-table" program. Mrs. Mary is in the process of becoming a master gardener and has joined forces with the Clemson Agricultural Program to make sure our garden boxes continually producing food for our homemade snacks served in school daily.
Sweet potatoes, kale, spinach, radishes, garlic, carrots, peas, lettuces, and more!

Keep your eyes peeled for the greenhouse that will be popping up soon... we are about to get our sprout game turned up!🌱

If you walked into class and this was drawn on the board, wouldn’t you be curious?

The grades students spent the last few days prepping for our annual Mexican Feast we held today. Empanadas, arroz rojo, frijoles negros, tortillas caseras y guacamole were all on the menú! Eating outside, dancing to traditional Latin music, and drinking Agua de Jamaica is always an excellent way to spend lunch and recess.
This is one of our favorite ways to round out the year and the older students love getting to serve the kindergarteners!

Buen Provecho y gracias por un año increíble!
