Due to the forecast for inclement weather this week related to a Tropical Storm Warning in effect for Charleston from Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 and the potential of sustained winds greater than 30 MPH, schools are transitioning to an eLearning day for students tomorrow, Monday, September 16.
Your childβs teacher or school will provide direction about the process for learning on Monday, September 16, 2024.

CCSD graduation ceremonies and celebrations will begin live streaming on YouTube this morning, beginning at 8:30 with the CCSD Early College High School celebration.

A high school information night for SOA 8th grade parents and students is scheduled for this Thursday, Friday 15 at 6 pm in the Rose Maree Myers Theater. This is a terrific opportunity for 8th grade families to learn more about the high school experience at SOA. Counselors and administrators will share information about classes, extracurricular activities, and college preparation and acceptance. SOA Dance
The Charleston County SOA Dance Department with an emphasis on both technical mastery and creativity that introduces dancers to a wide array of dance styles they would not get anywhere else. The goal is to provide students with the necessary skills and discipline to be successful as a dancer and a college dance student, focusing on process. The well-rounded curriculum provides the movement, the technical skills, the creativity, and knowledge demanded by college dance programs nationwide. The Dance Department Curriculum is based on the National and SC Dance Standards. SC Dance Standards are posted in the classroom and can be found on the State Department of Education website.
