Did you know NCCAE has an unofficial wild life rescue team? At dismissal last week this feathered friend made its way into the building. Luckily, Ms Downing was there to help! Her calm vibe and magical ability to speak to animals helped her to get the little friend back out the oak tree where it belonged unharmed!

NCCAE is excited to welcome our wonderful grandparents to celebrate Grandparents Day on Friday, September 18, 2026! Grandparents are invited to enjoy lunch with their grandchildren during the students’ regularly scheduled lunch periods.

Amazing things happen at NCCAE every day, and we want our families to help us celebrate them! Parents and families are invited to submit a NCCAE Shout-OUT recognizing a faculty or staff member who has demonstrated excellence, kindness, dedication, outstanding service, or simply done something, big or small, that deserves recognition.

With permission, Shout-OUTs will be featured in our weekly NCCAE Parent Newsletter and our internal staff newsletter so our entire school community can join in the celebration! And there’s a little House pride involved, too! 🦉🏆 The person submitting the Shout-OUT will earn 1 point for their student’s House, and the staff member receiving the recognition will earn 3 points for their House!
