🌟 WHAT A DAY! 🌟
Daniel Jenkins Academy’s Annual Community Day was filled with smiles, laughter, love, and unforgettable memories! 💙❤️
From free food 🌭 and free clothes 👕 to face painting 🎨, raffles 🎁, games, and family fun, our community came together to show what it truly means to be *“One School. One Community. Stronger Together.”*
A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer, partner, donor, student, parent, and community member who helped make this event so special. Your support and generosity continue to make a difference in the lives of our families and scholars.

🎬✨ As we prepare to close out Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week 2026: The DJA Cinematic Experience tomorrow… we’re still feeling the emotions from yesterday’s Award Show. ✨🎬
Yesterday, we had the chance to laugh, reflect, celebrate, and even shed a few tears together as we watched a special year-in-review video featuring some of the unforgettable moments that made this school year so special. ❤️
From the big victories to the small everyday moments, the video reminded us just how much heart lives inside the halls of Daniel Jenkins Academy. And with the debut of our custom-made DJA song, it became more than just a recap — it became a celebration of our school family and the people who make this place extraordinary every single day. 🎥🎶
To our amazing teachers and staff:
Thank you for the energy, love, dedication, and passion you pour into DJA. You are truly the stars of this cinematic experience.

Major shoutout to Renard “Fritz” Johnson, Jr.! Fritz is a Mental Health Counselor and also a barber at Salon 331. He took the time to come out and provide free haircuts and line-ups for the students at Daniel Jenkins Academy.
This was more than just a social hour, it was an opportunity for meaningful mental health check-ins. Fritz engaged each young man in impactful conversations, both one-on-one and as a group, pouring into these young men while cutting 9 heads in just 2 hours.
This gesture meant so much to the young men at Daniel Jenkins. Fritz created a space to uplift and invest in them while also boosting their confidence through personal grooming.
Thank you, Fritz, for all that you do, both professionally and personally!

Congratulations to our two talented winners of the Ross Smith Art Contest! 🎨🏆
The Ross Smith family one of our school’s most generous and consistent supporters hosted this district-wide art competition, and we are incredibly proud to have not one, but TWO student winners representing our school.
Both students showcased outstanding creativity and were even awarded a cash prize for their work. We are so grateful to the Ross Smith family for continuing to invest in our students and provide opportunities like this.
