Dorchester School District Two is participating in the Seamless Summer Option Meals Program beginning June 17, 2024. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, s*x, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the locations listed below to all children ages 18 and younger at no charge. Meals served must be consumed onsite in designated areas. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 – 8:00 am and lunch will be served from 10:00 – 10:30 am. For more information, please call 843-695-4920.

On Thursday, May 23rd at 8 a.m., enrollment will open for LEAP 2024-2025. All DD2 families interested in LEAP Afterschool for next school year will be able to enroll via ProCare, our new online system. The registration links will be on the LEAP webpage: https://www.ddtwo.org/district/departments/leap-afterschool

The weekly rate for 2024-2025 is $100 per child per week (K-5th) and registration is $50 per child or $90 per family.

Happy Earth Day from the earthworms! Did you know that earthworms are great environmental helpers? They aerate the soil when they burrow in the ground which allows air and water to pe*****te deeper. This improves the soil and helps plants grow. After they eat, they drop castings which have wonderful nutrients to fertilize the soil too. So be nice to the earthworms! We learned about the worms for letter W week and enjoyed hanging out with some real worms as well as a fun worm craft. 😄🪱
