Please help us welcome Mr. TJ Cofield to our St. John family. TJ is teaching our Upper School religion classes. We are thankful that St. Clare Catholic Church is willing to share his expertise with us.
Our hearts are heavy as we look back on the tragedy of 9-11, but we also remember the beauty of our country as we came together through the loss of many. May we always strive for that unity.
Our principal's cousin was one of the many brave fireman who sacrified his life. Lt. Ronnie E. Gies, we raise our hats to you. We promise to never forget.
Today we celebrate the birthday (nativity) of our Blessed Mother. Over the years, St. John students have crowned, drawn, dressed as, created, prayed, adorned, and decorated Mary. We know there is no greater example of faith and motherhood.
We love visits from old friends.❤️

If you have ever visited St. John, you probably have been greeted by a petite, spunky, bundle of joy at the front desk. Mrs. Jeannette brings sunshine with her every day--and lifts the spirits of all she meets. Would you please help us wish her a very happy birthday today? Mrs. Jeannette, we love you! Happy Birthday!
For the third year in a row, St. John Catholic School closed for "one perfect day" as our staff and faculty volunteered at . This incredible event is led by talented surfers who, with love and care, take children with an autism diagnosis out surfing. Our team handed out medals, worked on the cheer line, helped set up, and helped with food and clothing sales. We also saw our friends from Nativity Catholic School. They faithfully volunteer each year, too.
Yes, we cry tears of joy every year, and yes, we will be back next year for the next "perfect day!"
Bubble science with Mrs. Dodge: creating wands, exploring shape, learning new vocabulary (film and iridescent) and determining bubbles are round no matter what we try

We are excited!! We earned a SC Green Step Schools Award!
The Green Step Team at St John Catholic School earned a 2023 Green Step award for establishing and sustaining a model quality project in Restoring Habitat.
For multiple years, students have planted pollinator plants which feed the bees in an observation beehive built into
a classroom window. The bees then pollinate plants in their school garden.
The school's Green Step team is working to establish and sustain more student-powered projects which conserve, protect and restore the environment. Schools with two awards in each of those three categories earn recognition as Certified SC Green Step Schools.
