Congratulations to this week's Unsung Educator of the Week, Faris Newberry (Coach โBlueberryโ) โ Physical Education Hursey Montessori School
โCoach Blueberry is the kind of educator every school hopes to have at its front doors and in its classrooms. As a parent, I have watched him greet my kindergartner each morning with a joyful smile and a hearty hello. Not just during the excitement of the first week, but even in the colder, harder stretch of February, he is still there, offering high fives and genuine enthusiasm that makes every child at Hursey feel seen, valued, and a little bit famous. For many young students, drop-off can be a difficult moment, but Coach transforms it into something joyful, setting a positive tone for the entire day.
Beyond those daily moments, his impact continues in the gym. Through my work with Teacher Cadets, I have seen the way he teaches and connects with students, including those in exceptional education classes. My cadet speaks highly of his ability to engage every learner with care, energy, and intention. He meets students where they are and brings out their best, creating an inclusive and uplifting environment for all."

Cโurrent Hursey Students โ Planning for Next Year (2026โ2027)
To help us prepare class rosters and ensure a smooth start to the upcoming school year, we ask that all families complete this form as soon as possible.
Your response lets us know whether your child will be returning to Hursey, attending another school, or if your plans are still undecided. This information is essential for staffing, scheduling, and making sure every child is set up for success.
If your child will not be returning, a withdrawal form will be sent home. This form can be shared with your childโs new school to help with records transfer.
Thank you for your time and supportโwe truly appreciate your partnership in helping us plan for a strong 2026โ2027 school year!
Current Hursey Students *Regarding Next Year Please help us get our rosters ready for next year by filling out this form as soon as possible. Thank you so much!
