As published on our yearly calendar, Friday, May 12, is our last PD Friday of the school year.
*CBA Kindergarten will have regularly scheduled classes from 8:15am – 12:45pm. The CBA 5K Aftercare will still meet from 12:45pm – 3:15pm on Friday, May 12.
❤We want to let CBA teachers know how much they are appreciated! This year, we asked teachers what would be the most meaningful gift to them and the overwhelming response was gift cards. We know from the last two years they also really appreciate meals during that week. If you missed the donation date cutoff of April 21 but you would still like to bless the teachers, please do! 💐
Saturday, May 6: Take us out to the ballgame: CBA's Mother-Son Outing!
UPDATE: Tickets in our section are running low, so if you plan to attend the game please purchase tickets ASAP! We can try to add more tickets to our group, but it will depend on availability; the sooner we know, the better!

Dear CBA family!
I would like to echo what my 3-year-old likes to say, “Estoy muy feliz!” This past week was a little taste of heaven. So many different people served according to their giftings for a common goal of loving others with Jesus’ infinite love. As you know, one of my major responsibilities is raising funds for our school. In the past 2 weeks, you have shared that burden with me, and 205 students raised 939 different donations. After our business matches come through we will have exceeded the goal of $70,000!!! In short, we can buy the playgrounds!
I want to thank the fun run committee for their exhaustive work: Will Krause, Nicole Tokarsky, Aaron Holley, and yes, Batman (alias unknown but our two-year-old class thinks it's Lenny). If you would like to help with the committee next year, please let me know. If you already have some good suggestions, please email me at [email protected]
I also want to thank Grace City Church for sponsoring the shirts for every student. WOW!!! And obviously, a big thanks to Friendship Baptist Church for serving us every day. If you do not have Easter worship plans, both of these churches would love to welcome you.
Finally, I am very grateful for Boosterthon’s behind-the-scenes support. From providing the website to the daily data reports and planning the day of the event (all the way to the soundtrack!). Their support was essential!
Finally, I want to share a video of our Good Friday service with our K-6th grade students yesterday as we flowered the cross. We discussed with students how this is both the saddest and happiest week in history and how is the cross both the ugliest and most beautiful symbol in history. What would you say?
Inspiring world changers together!
Nate
