Jess is new to The Nest as a kindergarten parent but she is already having a positive impact. As we begin our Thanksgiving break PTA is most thankful for the amazing adults at The Nest. We’ve had a busy few days filled with a 1st grade balloon parade (look out Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade), a 3rd grade idiom fashion show, a 4th grade family feast and so many more special projects.
Thank you to everyone at home making idiom costumes, every volunteer serving food, and every teacher going the extra mile to make memories. Thank you to every grown up who continues to build our Nest. 💙🦅🪹

Kool Katz is coming this Friday 11/17! We’re keeping it cool on the last day before Thanksgiving break with our favorite, Kool katz italian ice. Classroom teachers are accepting orders all week, $5 each.

We are starting something new! Each month we will highlight a volunteer of the month on our PTA bulletin board outside the office. We know students will feel so proud to pass by and see their person’s name and photo hung for the whole school.

Our first volunteer of the month is Marissa Cacala, better known as Easton and Haven’s mom. Marissa is new to PTA this year but hit the ground running as our PTA President. Marissa has already brought so many fresh ideas to help our program grow. Thanks Marissa! 🦅

Due to the forecasted inclement weather associated with Hurricane Idalia, Dorchester School District 2 will initiate our eLearning protocols on Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st. All school buildings will be closed on both days. We have a technology help line available for students: 843-709-2770 or 843-695-4340. Extracurricular activities and afterschool programs scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st are cancelled as well.

Please know DDTwo does not make these decisions lightly. We have many factors to consider, especially projected high winds that prohibit the use of state-owned school buses.

Facts and Fees is FAST approaching. What happens at Facts and Fees?

Where/When: Tuesday 8/8 from 7:00-1:00pm OR Wednesday 8/9 from 1:00-7:00pm at ENES. Drop in anytime during one of those sessions.
A parent/guardian MUST attend.

What to Expect: Pick up your transportation tags (all students MUST have them this year), receive information about the school year, sign up for Extended LEAP Day program (based on availability-space is limited), join our PTA, order Eagle Nest school shirts, complete any missing registration information, receive class assignments for your student(s). Lines may be long, depending on the flow of foot traffic, so please plan ahead.

How to Prepare: PRE-REGISTER! If you have completed your pre-registration and have paid all fees by July 31st, you will be able to move quickly through Facts and Fees lines.

We had a great turn out for the Fresh For All event today at the Nest. Huge THANK YOU to the Low Country Food Bank, our girls L.E.A.D club, parents, teachers & Admin. This is an awesome event that helps so many in our community.
