All other grades 1st -5th, will be from 5:00-6:30pm and you will enter through the front main entrance. Friday’s Meet the Teacher event is contingent upon developing weather conditions. Eagle Nest Elementary School
Eagle Nest Elementary provides a nurturing environment that encourages relationships, rigor and relevance for our learning community to grow and succeed.
Operating as usual
💧 Update:
Overnight the rainfall rates increased dramatically and now roads are starting to flood as the drainage systems are full. The winds have also increased and there are reports of fallen trees obstructing travel. We are observing minor leaks and water accumulation in a couple of our buildings. Unfortunately, until the rain subsides, we won't be able to have a true assessment of the damage.
💧 Status:
The current plan for Dorchester School District 2:
· The first day of school will be Monday, August 12th.
· All DDTwo schools and district offices will continue to be closed Tuesday through Thursday in conjunction with Dorchester County. Employees will work remotely.
· Friday will be a workday for teachers and staff.
· The Elementary “Meet the Teacher” Friday afternoon/evening.
· All extracurricular activities remain cancelled until Thursday afternoon. However, this could change depending on the amount of rainfall and storm damage.
· Information about children who attend our 4K staggered start will receive correspondence from your elementary school.
· We will continue to track the weather and update our plan accordingly.
💧 Next Report: Wednesday, August 7th, 10:00 am
