Our 4th grade artists did an amazing job creating these Bisa Butler inspired mixed media portraits! 💯 They created collages inspired by Butler’s quilts, then traced their faces on transparency sheets focusing on the contour lines of their faces. Next, they added pops of color using acrylic paint markers! We adhered the two pieces together to create these EPIC portraits! 💣 So proud of our artists curiosity while learning about Bisa Butler’s portrayal of Black life, grit while working on all of the details, and creativity with their poses and color choices! 💚💚💚
