UPDATE: CCS will have a delayed opening tomorrow, January 10. School will open at 10 am.

Because of a winter storm system expected to bring high winds and rain tomorrow, there will be no school tomorrow, January 9, 2024. School will resume a normal schedule on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. We pray that all of our students and their families will stay warm, dry and safe!

The Bible reminds us to remember our past and set memorials (traditions)—like Joshua leading the Israelites into the promised land. He set 12 stones after crossing the Jordan so they could remind future generations how God provided for them. Recalling God's kind providence helps us develop gratitude.

God’s mercies are new every morning, so even if our resolution to “do better” in 2024 fails by noon on the first, His mercies are new every day.

We can’t wait to welcome back students tomorrow, January 3rd! We hope that your break was restful and full of fun!

Known as one of Christmas’s most beautiful carols, this song wraps up our favorites list for this year! It is also Ms. Collier’s favorite Christmas song. Which one is your favorite?

It is a mystery as to when and who released this traditional carol, but it started around the 16th Century! However, it does make us hungry for figgy pudding!

This hymn is inspired by the Biblical narrative of the shepherds in Luke 2:8-20, who spread the news of Jesus’ birth, akin to proclaiming it from the mountains. We are to spread the news of Jesus to everyone in the world!

Thank you to everyone who helped with our 2nd Annual Christmas Clues event! We love sharing the true meaning of Christmas with our community and couldn’t do it without our incredible volunteers and sponsors!

We pray that today, you remember the true reason for this season; Jesus Christ. May it be a day filled with love, joy and family fun!

Originally translated from Latin, this hymn draws from the Old and New Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah. Isaiah 7:14 says “Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: See, the virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.”

This incredible song is set to the tune of Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D Major with new lyrics added, performed in the style of a children's choir! This is Mrs. Luna’s favorite Christmas Song!!

Last week, our students participated in a school wide Christmas program for their families! Following the program Ms. Toni and her community of friends gifted students with a gift to take home! Thank you Ms. Toni for your generosity!

Next on our song list is “Feliz Navidad”! With its simple lyrics and catchy melody, it has become a Christmas classic and has gained popularity around the world!

We asked our students and teachers their favorite Christmas songs and “Jingle Bells” is loved by many! Did you know that it didn't become a Christmas song until decades after it was first performed?

To celebrate our incredible volunteers, we hosted them for a time of fellowship and dinner last Sunday evening. We are thankful to each of you who serve our students, teachers and families so well!

The 2nd Annual Christmas Clues is this Saturday, from 4-7 pm. Invite friends and family to join us. There will be food, fun and live animals! This is a free event, though donations will be accepted.

We heartily congratulate Anthony Brock and Valiant Cross Academy for winning the 2023 Yass Prize! Well done!

We did it!!! Valiant Cross Academy won the million dollar prize!! Thank you to Anthony and Fred Brock for your vision, perseverance and determination! We are thrilled for them, our scholars and our staff! Thank you to everyone who believed in this school!

Mr. Jerry Green stopped by on Friday to help our 4th and 5th graders build wood games and cars!! He made each of them a hammer to use for their creations! Many thanks, Mr. Green!

We are just a couple of weeks away from our 2nd Christmas Clues event! Join us for a time of family fun where we will learn more about the Reason for the Season!

We recently had a special guest come and animate our 2nd-5th grade students! Griffin Giersch did a wonderful job capturing these students on paper! Thank you, Griffin!

Our 4th and 5th-grade students have a wonderful time in Music Class worshiping our Lord. May they continue to make a joyful noise in praise to Him!

Today is the day! Would you consider supporting CCS in providing a transformative, classical education to students in the Low Country?

Don’t forget that Giving Tuesday is fast approaching! If you have committed to sponsoring a student at CCS, now is a great time to give! We also are still receiving a match for any donations given between now and December 30th!
