Thanks for stopping in, Alicia! 🥰

One of our former students, now a professional bodyworker 🎉, stopped into our class the other day to illustrate the techniques and benefits of cupping.

The distinctive suction circles after cupping are only part of the story. Cupping can be a valuable addition to massage therapy, helping to increase circulation, reduce muscle tension, support mobility, and promote relaxation. It may also be useful for addressing areas of tightness and discomfort.

At CSB, students learn how cupping can be thoughtfully incorporated into massage therapy to complement other hands-on techniques and better support each client's individual needs.

Did you know abdominal work can be a valuable part of a massage therapy visit? At CSB, students learn both draped and undraped techniques as part of their training.

This work may be beneficial for non-specific back pain and can also be helpful when addressing concerns such as diastasis, scar tissue formation, and constipation.

Listening, not just doing, is a powerful clinical skill that helps massage therapists better understand clients through words, presence, and touch. Staying grounded and regulated creates a safe space where clients can relax, respond, and shift more easily.

This is your Friday reminder to unclench your jaw, lower your shoulders from your ears, and take a few cleansing breaths. You made it....and you've earned it.

Now, go get it done before the kids are home from school and the silence is ruined again. 🤣🥰

FROM THE CLASSROOM....

Abdominal work, whether draped or undraped, is a learning objective at CSB. Many people find it beneficial for non-specific back pain, or find it helpful in managing conditions like a diastasis, scar tissue formation, or even constipation. Here, Adam demonstrates this on Dana.
