Science Fair for upper elementary and middle school, meant our K-2nd students spent the morning exploring science concepts! We made elephant’s toothpaste, investigating chemical reactions and learning about catalysts. We put on our biologist hats and took science outside for a plant parts scavenger hunt. Together, students worked in teams to build cup towers using engineering techniques and design. Finally, we were wowed by the laws of density and polarity in a lava lamp experiment! 🥽🧪🥼🌿👷

Lowcountry Christian Community School is hiring teachers for the 2026-27 school year. LCCS is a hybrid school. Students and teachers are in the building 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and parents homeschool Mondays and Fridays using teacher created lesson plans. Teacher reporting hours for the 2026-27 school year are 8:15 - 3:15 with a 1 hour planning period per day. Classes have a max of 14 students. LCCS uses Abeka, BJU Press, Apologia Science, Mystery of History, Singapore Math, and Manuevering the Middle.

Teachers must have a relationship with Jesus, be an active member of a local church and must agree with LCCS' statement of faith. We prefer teachers to have a background in education or teaching experience.

Last night was perfectly GLOWY! ✨💫It makes us so happy seeing all the dads and daughters enjoying the night!

Dads, thank you selling out another dance year and trusting us to provide a night of connection and fun with your daughters!

Thank you to church for hosting our special event. , thank you for helping make this event happen!

LCCS moms, you all are the real MVPs. The dedication and heart put into the dance - from first planning meetings through cleanup - is admirable! And we can’t forget about our LCCS dads, who show up on dance day to provide the muscles (and coffee!) to help execute our vision.

See you all next year!

Fun Friday 🎉 This week our 8th grade leaders planned and executed a school-wide celebration in honor of Dr. Seuss! ❤️🤍 We donned Seussical attire, played trivia about the late great author, ate Cat in the Hat themed snacks, and celebrated the fantastical man of many talents!

We are: Partners! Yesterday’s Moms Meeting concluded with teachers and moms decking the halls for the Christmas season! Just as decorating a tree takes teamwork, it takes a close partnership between parents and teachers to build a joyous learning environment for our students.

We love Moms Meeting Tuesdays and the ways our teachers and parents join together to equip and grow our students.

Who We are Wednesday: We strive for academic excellence!

LCCS strives to partner with parents to provide an academic environment that challenges and equips every student to perform to the best of their ability. One way we do that, is Wiggy Wednesday - our students don wigs to complete their math fluency facts, and chart their growth throughout the year. Students have ownership over adjusting their goals each month. They practice making challenging but attainable goals and they create a plan on how to achieve it.

Other couple other ways we push our students academically:
- required elective coursework such as a foreign language, table setting, musical instrument, etc.
- world map memorization starting in 3rd grade.

Does academic excellence sound like the right fit for your family? 26/27 Applications are live on our website! We’d love to hear about your family and schedule a tour.

It’s Meet the Teacher Monday! Meet Mrs. Moore, our fabulous 4th/5th teacher! It’s Mrs. Moore’s first year with us and she loves watching her students ask questions, explore, and utilize resources to gain new understanding. She feels that learning alongside her students is a gift, as they offer unique perspectives and observations!

When she isn’t at school, Mrs. Moore loves to spend time with her family, read, hike, play games and travel (the mountains are her favorite!).

Her goal for her class this year is to learn new things, accomplish hard tasks, and create positive habits that lead to a life that honors the Lord. She also hopes to foster positive relationships within her classroom walls and grow a classroom community that builds eachother up. She is praying that her students would grow in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man. That they would be a light and shine the goodness of the Lord to everyone they meet!

We are thankful for you, Mrs. Moore!

Our K/1 class had a FALL-tastic day yesterday! They learned the growth cycle of pumpkins and practiced making predictions before experimenting to find out whether pumpkins sink or float. They measured the pumpkins and practiced skip counting by 10s to find the number of seeds inside each pumpkin!

They even got to taste pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin seeds! We love to see our littlest learners engaging with the world and making meaningful connections!

Whether you have a rising Kindergartener or an older student, enrollment applications for the 26/27 year open TOMORROW! We’d love to see you on a school tour!

Meet the Teacher Monday! Say hello to Ms. Brackett, who leads our sensational second graders!

Her favorite part of teaching second grade is experiencing her students’ infectious joy and boundless energy each day. She loves listening closely to them — their words often sparkle with little pearls of wisdom! Ms. Brackett especially enjoys helping her students master those foundational math facts that will stay with them wherever they go.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Brackett enjoys reading and listening to podcasts about science, history, and the Constitution. She recently returned to ballet after a four-year break, and loves the therapeutic challenge of using muscles she forgot she had!

Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:4–8, and her prayer for the year is that her students would see how God’s Word shapes every area of life. She hopes they’ll grow in confidence, knowing who they are in Christ and understanding that God created each of them with a unique purpose.

We are so thankful for your passion, wisdom, and heart for our students, Ms. Brackett!

LCCS students have been working hard the last 9 weeks to build their endurance. Yesterday we celebrated the accomplishment of their school-wide goal! 🍧

Each student had to complete endurance challenges in their every day life, and practice character growth within the classroom. Parents and teachers partnered together to support and shepherd each student. 🐑

“Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
