🌱 Greenhouse Unit complete!

Our Academy crew wrapped up another great week of building valuable work readiness skills with visits to firestonecountryclub and Pegasus Farm Country Store and Gardens and Farm.

Next up… the Cleaning Unit starts on Monday! 🧽 Keep learning, keep growing, and keep up the great work! 💪🏼

Another great week in the Academy 🧡

While learning about Greenhouses, we had a great outing at Petitti Garden Centers. We toured their greenhouse and learned about all the plants and how to take care of them. We also explored their jobs too. Back in the Academy, we did some cooking and practiced our job skills!

We had another fantastic week in the Academy.

Our grocery unit took us to Costco, where we learned about their job opportunities, as well as the tasks that go along with each one. Everyone practiced stocking and at the end, we enjoyed a slice of pizza!

What a fantastic week of learning about work in grocery stores! 👏 🧡

Our Academy trainees had the opportunity to shadow with the team at Giant Eagle, where they learned about the many career opportunities available. They explored their hiring process, and put their skills to the test with a fun store-wide scavenger hunt! 🛒

Back in the classroom, we introduced real-world job skills by practicing stocking, adding item prices together, and using a pricing gun.

Every experience helps build confidence, independence, and empowers those to make informed choices about their future.

Way to go, crew! 💪🏼😊

What a great first week in the Academy!

We introduced all the important procedures about attendance and responsibilities, plus all the units we will be covering and we did lots cooking! Then we celebrated with at our favorite Ro's Custard Creations in North Canton 🍦✨
