March 10-13 I was traveling to Washington DC with the Business Club students and we were abruptly called home due to Covid-19. Our 4 day trip turned into a 36 hour trip. Even so, I loved spending time with these peeps. They are amazing! We got to tour the Capitol, see the monuments, and we stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial on our drive home. I’d say we packed a lot into those 36 hours!! Thank you to all who set up tours and activities we had to cancel. Maybe next year we will venture back!!!

On Thursday the Business Club hosted the 52nd Annual DeVille School of Business Scholarship Luncheon. The event was filled with insight on living your core values, scholarships for students and duck tape! Today I took my BUS 418 Leadership class and some Business Club members to Glenwood Middle School to teach 6th graders about currency for Junior Achievement. These young men and women did a phenomenal job and I am so proud of all of them.

Business Club Meeting TOMORROW Tuesday 3/12 at 9:15 pm in BBCC 136. Speaker Nate Davis will be sharing his talk on “How to Land a Job" after college. Super excited to have Nate back on campus to share his message. Also, you can buy your LUNCHEON tickets at the meeting and hear more about our AWESOME EUCHRE party this Friday Night 8-11 pm. A huge thank you to Mike Gallina, Vice President of Communications and Community Engagement at Aultcare. He spent an evening with us teaching our students how to live “relationships above brand” and to find their soul spot as they find their careers. What an amazing experience!!
