From a marketing role in the 1980s to leading Stark State for 14 years, President Dr. Para Jones reflects on her journey as she prepares for retirement. Read her inspiring story.

Para Jones is retiring after shaping Stark State College's future As president, Para Jones expanded Stark State College’s footprint into neighboring Summit County with the 2018 opening of its Akron campus.

We recently hosted the 4th annual Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Student Collaboration Event, welcoming DPT students from Walsh University and the University of Mount Union, along with our own PTA students.

Together, they learned about each other’s roles and responsibilities in the clinical setting, from laws and regulations to supervision and delegation, preparing them for the PT-PTA relationship in the real world.
