With great consideration, I am permanently closing Mad Brook Educational Park.
It has been a pleasure to have met many wonderful families and children. I am grateful for my teachers, and all the memories I have from the school.

My best to you all. ❤️

It breaks my heart to make this following announcement. Mad Brook Educational Park will NOT be reopening this year due to CO-VID, personal reasons, safety, and health concerns. Although I consider all of you family: I have to put my immediate family first.
Mad Brook Educational Park, will be opening at a new location in 2021. With all of the new CO-VID regulations and safety concerns,I can not give your child the typical Mad Brook experience. I will be giving updates on further information, before I open the new school. I would love any feedback, positive or negative.
We are complying all the work from the children and will be delivering in to you in the next few days. I apologize for not getting it to you sooner. I decided NOT to do the yearbooks, as the number of pages were low.
I understand it has been a tough and emotional time for all, and I apologize deeply.

Thank you for being so amazing and my best wishes to all of you!

Kate

Enjoy the freedom to celebrate this Memorial Day weekend. We thank the men and women who have made sacrifices, the veterans and active service members. No parades this weekend, smaller groups at cookouts however have fun with those amazing children of yours! Break out the red, white and blue paper, crayons and paint. Ms Nancy

Good morning! Yesterday while working outside I noticed the bugs have arrived with the warmer weather. And those very annoying little black fly like bugs that enjoy swarming around my head. I also see the bumblebees are back doing what they do best. Going from flower to flower, picking up pollen from one flower to another flower. Pollinating the flowers so we have more flowers. Honeybees and butterflies do the same job.

Can you find the bumblebee in this photo. It wouldn't stay still!

Let's start making a list of all the
insects we see!

Little black flies
Bumblebee
Ants
Wasp

I know your list will be longer than mine. Ms Nancy

Good morning friends. Looks like a sunny day to chase your shadow, eat lunch as a picnic in your yard, in your car at a park. Do you have any rain boots that don't fit anymore? My grandkids made holes in the soles and planted flower seeds in the boots. A gift for Mother's Day. Now I just need to water and watch to see what might grow. 🌻 Ms Nancy

Today our guest reader is Jonah. He is an alumni of Mad Brook preschool and most recently a "bus kid" Mondays and Tuesdays. Most of the time we think of Jonah as a rising soccer star, but he enjoys all sports that require a ball. And I enjoyed an occasional one on one "two square" hand ball game. He enjoys Legos, he is creative and will the challenge anyone to checkers. Jonah! Well done! Ms Nancy.

The unauthorized definition of the word :
Mother
(muth-er)
(n) a person who loves unconditionally; the maker and keeper of precious memories; a person much loved and greatly admired.

Moms, that defines all of you!

If we had been in school this past week, the children would have been very busy with a keepsake craft and card for all you moms. There would have been discussion among the teachers as to what we would do. Ms Danielle would have been right on it, with a to do list for Mrs. Daige on Monday and Tuesday. The attendance book would have been marked up with who has or hasn't completed project and/or card.

Happy Mother's Day to all moms and grandmothers! Ms Nancy

Before painting his rocks Harrison sorted them by size. Sorting items teaches kids to analyzing data, develops critical thinking skills and problem solving.

It looks like Ryan selected the biggest he could find.

Rocks are fun to move and sort. Anything can be sorted by any category: colors, size, length, shape. Many times kids will just natural sort things. Rock on boys! Ms Nancy
