Yesterday we attended the Next gen championship in Novi that is a new tournament in the MSKC (michigan sport karate circuit)

Here's our results
• Elliott - black belt - weapons 1st, forms 2nd, point sparring 3rd, traditional forms 2nd, korean forms 1st.
• Emersyn - black belt -weapons finalist, forms 3rd, point sparring 4th
• Henry - novice - weapons finalist, forms finalist, point sparring finalist.
• Jennie - black belt - weapons 2nd, forms finalist, point sparring 2nd.
• Josh - Black Belt - weapons finalist, forms 4th, point sparring 3rd.
• Justin - Para - weapons 2nd, forms 2nd.
• Kailani - Advanced- weapons 2nd, forms 1st, BB point sparring 1st.
• Austin - Black Belt - point sparring finalist.

This tournament had a new divisions of tag team point sparring
• Austin/Josh - 4th place
• Emersyn/ Kailani - 3rd place

Every tournament its amazing to watch them give their best. We have some new competitors on the team and some of our seasoned competitors tried new divisions, great job DMA.

Today we exeprienced some big wins, some hard losses — but every competitor left more experienced than they arrived. Great job today team DMA.

WKC Super Qualifier Results

Today, some of our Competition Team competed at the WKC Super Qualifier! At this event, the top 8 competitors in each division earn the opportunity to advance to the National Qualifier — where they will compete for a chance to represent Team USA at the World Championship!

Here is our results

* Austin - 2nd place traditional Hardstyle forms, 1st place traditional Korean forms, 1st place freestyle forms, 1st place creative weapons, 2nd place open weapons.
* Elliott - 4th place Traditional Korean forms, 4th place freestyle forms, 3rd place extreme forms, 2nd place open weapons, 1st place point sparring, 2nd place continuous sparring.
* Jennie - 1st Traditional Korean forms, 3rd open forms, 1st creative weapons, 1st point sparring, 1st continuous sparring
* Josh -1st creative weapons, 1st open forms, 2nd continuous sparring, 1st point sparring
* Kailani - 1st place point sparring, 1st continuous sparring, 2nd place creative weapons, 3rd place open weapons, 3rd place extreme forms, 3rd place freestyle forms.

In June, this team will head to the National Qualifier to compete in these divisions again aiming to secure one of the top four spots and the honor of representing Team USA. Great job today!
