This new class offers the opportunity to perform repertoire from Broadway musicals by the legendary American composer Richard Rodgers, his daughter composer/author Mary Rodgers Guettel, and his grandson composer/lyricist Adam Guettel.

In this 10-week class the accomplished team of artist-coaches, Anna Bergman, Lucia LaNave and Meredith Eib, will help students find ideal songs from musical theatre which are personally suited to them and will offer vocal, musical and performance coaching to present these songs in the genre of concert/cabaret, culminating in a live performance.

This Friday Broadway’s will be coming back to Levine Music Theatre for a weekend of musical theatre! This Friday March 3rd, Lisa will lead a 2 hour audition worship at our NW Campus. Free for current student and $25 for non-Levine students.
And on Saturday March 4th, sign up a private coaching with Lisa! $45 per 30 minutes, up to 60 minutes per student.

On Broadway, Lisa was most recently seen as Tammy in the new musical, Escape to Margaritaville. Other Broadway credits include her Drama Desk Nominated role of Jenny Steinberg in the musical comedy It Shoulda Been You directed by David Hyde Pierce, Diva 1 in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Missy Hart in 9 TO 5, and Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, for which she won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. BRIGHT STAR features Levine Music Theatre high school and adult students, the Levine Music Theatre Pit students, and DMV professional creators and musicians.

BRIGHT STAR runs December 16th at 7pm, December 17th at 7pm and December 18th at 2pm at The Callan Theatre at Catholic University of America. Tickets are $10 each. General admission. Seating is limited.

First Musical Session 1 is wrapping up! Session 2 begins January. Classes are offered at Strathmore and Silver Spring Campuses. First Musical explore singing, dancing and storytelling for ages 3 years old to 6 years old.

Music Theatre Pit - Bright Star starts today! These musicians are preparing to play in the pit for the Fall Senior Production of Bright Star. is teaching them about different markings and how to approach the music for the first time. Calling all middle school theatre kids! Music Theatre Middle School begins October 16th at our NW campus. Join us for 6 weeks of voice, acting and dance classes. Students will work on duets, trios and scene work. Come spend 90 mins every Monday and Thursdays getting to experience all aspects of musical theatre with your friends! This is a great introduction to Levine Music Theatre if you are thinking about auditioning for Little Mermaid Jr. this spring! The last class of session 1 will be a formal presentation for family and friends showcasing their hard work!

Are you a high school student looking to learn more about auditioning for musical theatre productions, summer programs or colleges. Music Theatre High School Session 1 will be 6 weeks of audition tips and tricks taught by DMV director/casting director Jenna Place and Catholic University Musical Theatre voice instructor Meredith Eib. Class meets Mondays and Thursday 7-8:30pm at Silver Spring Campus. It’s the perfect time to prepare for this years auditions!

Session 1 group classes begin this week! We are excited to begin singing and dancing with our LMT community again. Group classes are offered for all age groups from Pre K - Adult. There is still time to register for Music Theatre Elementary through High School classes, as well as our Adult Music Theatre Ensemble. We are excited to bring our newest class, Music Theatre Dance, to Silver Spring Campus on Tuesdays. Don’t forget all high school - adult Levine Music students are welcome to audition for our fall production of Bright Star. Auditions are Saturday 9/24 10am-12pm on zoom. LMT Experience is a two week day camp for rising 3rd - 8th graders who want to explore different aspects of musical theatre! Students will take classes in voice, dance, and acting in the mornings and in the afternoons will rehearse for their final presentation for their family and friends on August 19th. LMT Experience takes place 9am-3pm Monday-Friday August 8th-19th at the NW Campus. Registration closes soon!
