We're very excited to announce YAACV's Winter 2021-2022 programming for adult classical vocalists (college through pre-professional), offering the unique opportunity to prepare and coach a principal operatic and oratorio role and rehearse it will full symphonic orchestra in a major concert venue, like Strathmore and Maryland Hall.

These programs launch our exciting collaborations with some of the region's leading classical performing arts organizations, including, National Philharmonic , Annapolis Opera , and the Arlington Philharmonic.

In tonight’s free Nightly Opera Stream, we celebrate another stellar alumnus of the National Council Auditions: bass-baritone Samuel Ramey. A finalist in the 1972 Auditions, Ramey had a remarkable Met career spanning more than 300 performances of 28 roles. Tonight, see him star in the title role of Mozart’s Don Giovanni; the 1990 performance, which also features 1977 National Council finalist Carol Vaness, is available starting at 7:30PM ET until tomorrow, May 12, at 6:30PM ET.
