Attached is the Environmental Club's end-of-year project, which Ms. Gigi and Ms. Carlin worked on with our students. This project's intent was to help students understand how the everyday choices they make can positively impact their local environment, right here in North Bergen!
Throughout the project, students learned about seed balls and how they can be a practical way to support plant growth in urban areas like North Bergen. They discovered that the protective outer layer of a seed ball helps shield seeds from stray cats and other wildlife while giving them a better chance to grow and thrive.
Students also explored the importance of recycling in our community. They learned that North Bergen's recycling collection takes place every Sunday and discussed which items can be recycled and how to properly recycle.
In addition to the project, our Environmental Club members worked together to create environmental tips and riddles that were shared with the school during our morning announcements. This gave them the opportunity to promote environmental awareness among their peers.
Thank you very much for your support.
