Hello yoga•friends! We have to pivot a bit for a few weeks while Lake Paran navigates an insurance issue. Yoga this week (6/21/25) is CANCELED. I am so sorry for the inconvenience. We will check back the following weekend and if the weather is nice we can use an outdoor spot in North Bennington. Thank you for understanding. Here's a message from Lake Paran:

Dear Community,

We’re reaching out with some important updates from Paran Recreations.

We are in the process of transitioning to a new insurance provider, which we expect to have in place by Friday. As part of this change, new requirements have prompted us to temporarily pause our programming — including MeNU meals, yoga classes, and other offerings — so we can thoughtfully assess what’s needed to meet compliance standards.

During this pause, our building will remain closed, there will be no lifeguards on duty, and the area will not be open for public use.

As a small nonprofit, unexpected changes like this can have a significant impact. We deeply appreciate your patience, understanding, and ongoing encouragement as we work to navigate this moment and ensure a safe, sustainable future for our community space.

Started something new!

A new little shop has opened in downtown Hoosick Falls! Come shop the new collection from Wilhelmina & The Crow. We are a small shop inside the wonderous Antiques & Collectibles store that has just opened up. Visit the back room at Rustic Relics & Pastimes LLC at 8 John Street, Hoosick Falls for a step into the weird and wonderful world of second hand picks and natural curiosities. Crystals, fossils and so much more!

Mothers Circle
Date: Saturday, April 19th at 11am
Where: The Great Room at Lake Paran at 269 Houghton Street, North Bennington, VT
What: A circle for all those that identify as a mother. Each circle will touch on a different topic of motherhood.
Topic: What is Motherhood?
Cost: Sliding scale $2 to $20.

This Mother's Circle is organized by Zoe Shaheen of ZogaYoga and Lindsey Pszwaro of Panacea Herbals. This space is crafted for us to hold and be held be in relationship with one another, as we tenderly explore the raw act of motherhood — in all its beautiful, messy expressions. This is an opportunity to build and strengthen our community of mothers. We will make friends and share resources in a safe, and inclusive space, honoring your courage just for showing up. Come as you are.
