Special thanks to one of our special archery club parents for setting this up. These are her words: NBHS and Middle School are now NASP or National Archery Schools Program certified! Last Tuesday I was fortunate to participate in the all day safety and certification class taught by the ODFW coordinator Miranda Leek. She is a former Olympian archer (2012 games) and a great teacher. Both schools were given $3200 worth of equipment each! There are 12 bows, a bow rack, targets, archery curtain and tools box with extra supplies. There is a state NASP and federal NASP shooting competition and the hope is that NBHS will be hosting a tournament this year. So far NASP has been accepted by over 80 schools and youth groups. The goal is to get youth 4-18 involved in shooting sports. I am so excited to see the team and schools get into the program. I am trying to get more local schools to participate. Want to know more? Ask me!!

Great first night for the 17-18 archery club year. Way to go guys.
The 2017-2018 Archery Club startup will be postponed until October 12th due to Jim being out of town for his Archery hunt this season. I hope to see everyone there. And feel free to stop in and see Mr. GILL at the school any time.
The Archery Club has been asked to help out with the 6th Grade Outdoor Day again this year. I will need 2 or 3 volunteers that are in good academic standing willing to help out for the event. This will take place Friday June 2nd from 8 - 4:40. We will talk about this at our next scheduled meeting on Thursday April 27th.
