Opstad Elementary School Opstad Elementary School (OES) was built in 1988 and is named after Edwin R. Opstad, the first superintendent and founder of our school district.

We have **two para sub openings** at Opstad Elementary from the **beginning of the school year through Winter Break**.

Can’t commit to every day? **That’s okay!** If you’re available for some of the days, we’d still love to have you join us. 💙

We are SO excited to welcome our students and families back to Opstad! 💙🦦

Our staff has been busy getting classrooms ready, reconnecting as teams, and preparing for an amazing year ahead. We can’t wait to fill our halls with our Otters again!

School’s out for summer at Opstad Elementary! ☀️🐾
Today, we celebrated our incredible 5th graders with our annual Clap Out. Students lined the walkway as our Otters took one last tour around campus, cheered on every step of the way, before heading off to middle school.

We are so proud of our 5th graders as they take the next step—trading in their Otter pride for Raven spirit! Wishing all of our students a fun, safe, and well-deserved summer! 🎓

Celebrating Otters Outside & FEAST Day at Opstad Elementary
Last week at Opstad Elementary, we had a wonderful time celebrating Otters Outside and FEAST Day! It was a joyful event filled with laughter, movement, and community connection.

We were thrilled to invite families to join their otters for lunch, creating a special opportunity to connect and share in the school day together. Afterward, students participated in an exciting field day packed with activities for everyone to enjoy.

Our field games included favorites like soccer, frisbee, obstacle courses, tug-of-war, and capture the flag. In addition to the games, students explored fun activity stations featuring face painting, temporary tattoos, and an unforgettable foam party!

One of the biggest hits of the day—true to our otter spirit—was the creative station where students had the chance to color and dye their hair and even decorate clothing.

It was an amazing day full of energy, creativity, and community. Thank you to all the families and staff who helped make this celebration so special!

Thank You for an Incredible Beautification Day! 🌿

We are so grateful to our amazing volunteers, dedicated staff, and supportive PTA for making our Opstad Beautification Day such a success. Your time, energy, and care truly made a difference in creating a more beautiful and welcoming space for our students and community.

From spreading mulch to planting and tidying up our grounds, every effort helped bring our school to life. It was wonderful to see so many people come together with a shared sense of pride and teamwork.

A special thank you as well to the families and individuals who went above and beyond to support this event, and to our PTA for helping provide the materials that made it all possible.

We appreciate each and every one of you for your hard work and commitment to our school community.

Our Opstad Kindergartners had an exciting morning with a visit from the Snoqualmie Valley Fire Department! 🚒

Students explored the fire truck, saw a firefighter in full gear, and learned important fire safety tips.
