The North Baltimore Tiger Cross Country teams traveled to Attica, Ohio for the Tiger Classic. In a 2-team invite the Tigers took 5th in the varsity girl's race and 13th in the boy's race. In the girl's race, the Tigers used great strategy as they did not get excited early with the fast pace. In the final mile both Ady Reynolds and Maddie Stufft gained several places to earn 4th and 8th place overall earning a podium spot. Ady finished with a season best of 21:06 and Maddie shaved off over a minute from Thursday with 21:32. Rylee Fennell finished 49th, earning a season PR of 24:59. Attlee Rowlinson had a solid race, using Rylee as a pacer to finish in 52nd with a 25:09. Lyv Amburgey completed the scoring for the Tigers, finishing with a career record of 26:00 in 62nd place. Freshman Megan Althauser shattered her time from Thursday by nearly 5 minutes with a 27:56 earning 79th place. The girls had a season best top 5 average of 23:45.
The Varsity boys didn't let the girls have all the fun, as Junior Camden McCartney became one of 19 in school history to run a sub 18. His career record of 17:57, tied Tim Troutner's time and was good enough for 18th place earning him a race medal. Garrett Williams ran just 3 seconds from his career record with a season best of 19:13, finishing in 42nd. Levi Vanlerberg finished in 105th place with a season best of 21:45 and first year runner Brennen Llanas, shaved a 1:30 of his time from Thursday with a 22:46 to place 118th. Freshman Grady DeLancy ran his first career race in a 27:18, finishing in 148th, which allowed the Tigers to score as a team on Saturday, the boys had a top 5 average of 21:48.
In the JH races, all the Tigers ran a career best, Vivian Ford led the girls with a medal placing, her time of 15:32 was good enough for 26th place, it also puts her as the 25th fastest of all time for North Baltimore junior high girls. Kennedy Reynolds finished 35th in a time of 15:56 and Taylor Fennell finished 37th with a career best time of 16:06, 45 seconds faster then her best 2025 time. Karma Stevenson finished just behind Taylor with a 16:07 in 38th place.
On the boys side, the Tigers had 4 sub 14 minute runners also earning 3 individual medals. In his first JH race, Shawn Albright ran a 12:46, finishing 17th. His time is the 10th fastest time in school history for Junior High. Wendell Troutner finished in 24th, running a career record of 13:05, knocking 23 seconds off his best time for the 2025 season. His time is just shy of the school's top 15 leaderboard in gymnasium hallway, sitting him 17th all time. Jase Jones earned a top 30 medal by placing 27th in a time of 13:26 and Nolan Perry was 39th, also running a sub 14 in a time of 13:56. These four talent runners are looking to add a 5th runner to their roster to compete as a team. The Tigers have a home meet schedule for Tuesday starting with the junior high at 5PM and the HS at 5:30ish, the heat index may play a factor to this week's schedule though.
