We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Marie Yanick Roy Pierre (co-founder and VP of Programs at Light The Workd Foundation).
She was a friend, a sister, and an advisor who embodied the work we do - educating children (especially young girls) and giving them better opportunities.

Burial will be at Pinelawn Cemetery/ Memorial Gardens on Long Island, NY

We’re encouraging those who join us in the building on Friday evening to join us virtually on Saturday morning to allow as many people as possible to pay their last respects and greet the family.
