It's the event our whole studio looks forward to each year. 🍂🎵

Join us for the Rae of Sunshine Music Fall Recital & Scholarship Fundraiser on September 19th, 6:00PM at 2200 Ridge Ave in Aurora.

This special evening celebrates our students' hard work, our teachers' dedication, and the joy of music in our community, all while raising funds to provide scholarships for families who might not otherwise be able to afford lessons.

We don't rush levels at Rae of Sunshine. Here's why. ☀️🎹

It's tempting to measure progress by how fast a child moves through method books. Level 1 to Level 2. Book A to Book B. But here's what l've learned: racing through material doesn't build musicians. It builds pressure. And pressure is the fastest way to kill a child's love for music.

When we slow down, something beautiful happens. Students actually master skills. They play with confidence, not anxiety. They develop tone, rhythm, and musicality that will serve them for years, not just until the next performance. 🌱

Every child blooms on their own timeline. Our job isn't to rush the flower. It's to water it, give it sunshine, and trust the process.

No two kids are the same. So why would their lessons be? ☀️🎵

At Rae of Sunshine, every lesson is shaped around the student in front of me-their strengths, their struggles, their energy, and even their mood that day. Some kids need more structure. Some need more laughter. Some need a little extra patience while they find their rhythm.

That's the beauty of one-on-one music lessons done right. The lesson bends to the child, not the other way around. And when a child feels truly seen and understood? That's when real learning, and real joy, starts to bloom. 🌱
