🌸 Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary 🌸

Today, we celebrate the joyful birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose "yes" to God's plan would change the course of history. Born to Saints Joachim and Anne, Mary was chosen to be the Mother of Jesus and remains a model of faith, humility, and trust for us all.

As a Catholic school community under the loving patronage of Our Lady Queen of Peace, we ask Mary to guide our students, families, faculty, and staff. May her example inspire us to live with kindness, courage, and unwavering faith each day.

Today, we honor the dedication, hard work, and contributions of the men and women whose efforts strengthen our communities and inspire future generations.

At Queen of Peace Grammar School, we are especially grateful for our teachers, staff, parents, volunteers, parish community, and first responders whose commitment helps make our school a place where students can learn, grow, and thrive in faith.
As we enjoy this holiday with family and friends, may we also take a moment to thank God for the gifts of work, service, and community.

Today, we celebrate the International Day of Charity, a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.

At Queen of Peace Grammar School, charity is more than something we teach—it's something we strive to live each day. Through our Catholic faith, our students learn the importance of serving others with compassion, generosity, and love, following Christ's example in both word and action.

Whether it's supporting a local food drive, collecting items for those in need, praying for others, or simply showing kindness to a classmate, every act of charity helps build a stronger, more caring community.

As St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) reminded us:

Today, the Church celebrates St. Gregory the Great, a pope, teacher of the Church, and one of history's most influential Christian leaders. Known for his wisdom, humility, and dedication to serving God's people, St. Gregory reminded us that true leadership begins with serving others in love.

He strengthened the Church through education, prayer, and care for those in need, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire Catholics around the world.
